Mr and Mrs Godbold

On Saturday 21st September I had the great honour of covering my friend Kerri's marriage to her lovely fiancĂ© Simon.

It was an early start for me - being up and dressed and ready to leave the house by 8:30am is no mean feat when you're a mother of a toddler and a 2 month old!! Thank goodness I had my husband on hand to help!

I arrived at Kerri's and was greeted by a very calm but nervous bride. Capturing the moments where she's getting ready and being amongst the hustle and bustle of everything going on was a real privilege.

Then it was off to meet the boys at the pub (where else?!) where I found an extremely nervous but handsome looking groom.

The ceremony took place at Thetford registry office and was a very lovely intimate affair.

After the ceremony the formal family shots took place in the registry office's beautiful gardens then it was off to Banham for the rest of the festivities.

Congratulations Kerri and Simon and thank you for letting me be part of your special day.

Families and weddings

On Saturday 14th September  I had the great pleasure of attending my sister in law Amy's wedding.

My little Cadence was a beautiful bridesmaid and the hubby was an usher.

I absolutely adore weddings and family weddings are just that little bit more special.

Sadly I wasn't the official photographer for the day but I think that makes it better and easier to enjoy a family occasion. And enjoy it we did :-)

The bride looked absolutely beautiful and so did everyone to be honest. Even I managed to scrub up well for the occasion!!

What do you think?!

After a lovely long day we danced and boogied the night away and had lots of fun!

Looking forward to this Saturday when I get to photograph the Godbold wedding!! EEEK!!

Post holiday blues

A couple of weeks ago, the husband and I took our 2 little girls on holiday, camping in the Peak District!

After a blustery few days the lovely sunshine came out and we had great fun exploring all the little villages and surrounding areas. We took them both up to the top of Peveril castle where we had a lovely time looking at the ruins and running around the grounds.

We also took Cadence to find Nemo at Matlock Bath aquarium!

1 month

Apologies for the posts being few and far between. Unfortunately being a new mother to 2 under 2 is a lot more time consuming than I first thought!!

That said, it has given me a new model to try out new ideas on and hopefully I will be able to upload some of those pictures soon.

Sienna is currently 6 weeks old and 2 weeks ago on her 1 month birthday I took a couple of pictured in my make shift studio. I hope to take some pictures of her and her sister together soon.

The Godbold family

Today I had the absolute pleasure of photographing an old friend and her gorgeous family.

Kerri and her fiancĂ© Simon are getting married in September and I have the honour of photographing their day for them.

Today we decided to have a little practice photo session with their beautiful daughter Amelie-Lila. Mainly so they could all get used to having a camera pointed at them during their wedding day and also to try out some poses off the day itself.

We headed to Becketswell near to Wymondham Abbey in Wymondham and had some fun whilst managing to capture the Abbey in the background.

We then headed over to the Abbey and had some photos taken amongst the ruins.

I really really enjoyed the session this morning and I hope they did too. Judging by the big smiles on everyone's faces I'm guessing they did!!

Family and newborns

Life is certainly different with a baby and a toddler, though 3 weeks in now and we are certainly all starting to get used to each other.

The love I have for my two girls is overwhelming sometimes and trying to split myself between the two, whether it be feeding or play, is very hard at times.

We are all learning about how we all fit in with each other and slowly but surely we are getting into a sense of routine.

I haven't had much opportunity to get my camera out and have probably missed some fantastic photo opportunities but I was fortunate enough to set a little studio up and do a quick mini shoot with Sienna. This is the first time I have ever photographed a newborn and therefore is something I am very new at and not experienced with!

We both seemed to have fun though and I don't think the final result is that bad for a first attempt!! I'm not keen on the posed newborn pictures with all the props and so on. I think the more natural the picture the better.

Baby love

Apologies for not being around much recently however I am super excited to share with you my news!!

My new baby girl arrived yesterday morning!! Isn't she perfect?!

Sienna Jayne Montgomerie

After going overdue by 11 days I didn't think she was ever going to make an appearance but here she is!!

The labour was very quick and we did have a little bit of trouble at the beginning but now we are all home and starting to settle in to being a family if 4.

My number 1 girl, Cadence, still is yet to meet her and I hope she will adore her as much as we do.

I can't wait to get the camera out with both of them :-)
